United remain locked together at the top of the table after a compelling clash at the Emirates Stadium. Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to have given the visitors victory with an 81st minute strike, but William Gallas, who had unwittingly opened the scoring by deflecting the ball into his own net in the 45th minute, plundered an equaliser in added time to secure a precious point. After a scrappy first half, Fabregas had signalled the start of a thrilling second period with an excellent 48th minute goal.
